Bygone Age

(Bygone Age)

British heritage and nostalgia has always been an interest of mine.

I have particular nostalgia for the 1960s as this was the time of my childhood. It is a time I fondly remember.

So it was with enthusiasm that I wanted to capture some of these scenes of British life on the canvas in monochrome. Monochrome seemed appropriate reflecting black and white TV and black and white photography at the time in the 1960s.

Collaborating with Warwick Studios Gallery in Leamington Spa where I was Resident Artist from 2006-2008, I created many pieces of nostalgic art, mainly of life in Birmingham and London during the 1960s. I had two sell out exhibitions, one in 2005 and the other in 2008 at the Gallery.

During 2006 Buckingham Fine Arts published 3 no of my black and white images as Limited Edition Prints.
