Cliff Richard And The Shadows Gallery
The Summer Holiday song and the film released later in 1963 was the first time I really listened to Cliff Richard and realised how good a singer he was.
The Shadows were formed in 1958 under the name of The Drifters.
Later became known as the Shadows to avoid conflict with a group called The Drifters in the USA.
The Shadows became the backing for Cliff from 1958 to 1968.
Cliff Richard and Shadows made the world a better place.

The Shadows single ‘Apache’ certainly made an impression on me in the 1960s with their distinctive, unforgettable guitar sound which has a TIMELESS BEAUTY.
As a visual artist I felt inspired to create something on the canvas through my minds eye.
