Movie Icons Gallery

These images/paintings were inspired and commissioned by Donald Art Company based in the USA in 1996.
Kevin remembers first hearing Elvis Presley’s songs during my childhood days (the 1960s) on Children’s Favourites on a Saturday morning, which was broadcast on the Light programme, now BBC Radio 2. Songs were played by Children’s request.
He has watched Elvis’ films/movies too.

He became aware of John Wayne films/movies through his father, who was a ‘Duke’ fan and his favourite film was “She Wore a Yellow Ribbon”
His favourite Duke movie is “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance” with James Stewart and John Wayne.
Surely two of U S of America’s greatest and most influential Icons.
This inspired Kevin to portray them on the canvas in the form of a montage.
