The Warwick Collection

Warwick is a medieval town steeped in deep history dating back to the 10th century with its iconic Castle as its main focus.
Wandering around the historic Castle and ancient buildings nearby gave me a feeling of TIMELESS BEAUTY.
This is what I have tried to capture in my oil paintings.
In 2009, The MITCHELL GALLERY based in Church Street, Warwick UK commissioned me,
the Artist, to create a collection of monochrome oil paintings depicting Warwick’s famous historical buildings in an atmospheric mood, mostly at night and after recent rainfall.
After successful solo exhibitions hosted by the Gallery in 2009 and 2012, the Gallery continued to promote the Collection and showcased them permanently as part of the Gallery Exhibitions. This resulted in further sales purchased by art lovers who visited the Gallery, including original paintings, framed embellished black and white and sepia coloured prints and black and white greeting cards.
During this time I had the pleasure to meet and share my artwork with many of these art lovers, especially on the annual Victorian evenings at the end of November, until the Gallery’s closure in April 2018.
When in historic Warwick, why not visit the Thomas Oken tea rooms.
