Waiting For The Train (Birmingham New Street)
The Inspiration:
(freehand and painted in water based oils)
This painting was inspired by a black and white photograph taken by Mr Leonard Stace in the early 1960’s.
A perishing cold morning on platform 10, New Street Station, Birmingham UK. waiting for the train, which was late.
A Stanier Black 5 waits for the signal on the middle Line
A scene I witnessed as a young train enthusiast standing on the platform.
Giclee Prints (size 16in x12in) are available to buy at £60 each..
